Good value on membership

This was my first time trying The Mlpc. I signed up for the Sober Girls Yoga Membership after seeing the annual discount. It seemed like the best deal compared to just paying monthly, saved me a good bit upfront. The content is solid for the price paid, lots of variety. I compared it to a few other platforms and this felt like the best bang for my buck with the annual plan. Worth the purchase for sure.

Absolutely loved the retreat!

I went on the Bali Yoga Retreat and it was incredible! The location was beautiful, the yoga sessions were so well-led, and the community aspect was truly special. Everything was perfectly organized, from start to finish. I felt so refreshed and inspired after just one week. I'm already planning to save up for another one next year and will definitely tell everyone about it!

Easy to join, good classes

I decided to try the On-Demand Yoga Library a few weeks ago. It was super easy to get set up, no fuss at all. The classes are pretty good, a decent mix of styles, and I found a few I really liked. It's nice to just hop on whenever I have time. Took about 5 minutes to get signed up and started. Overall, a smooth experience.

Consistent quality for training

I just finished the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, my second program with them after doing a shorter workshop last year. The quality was consistent with my previous experience. The instructors were knowledgeable, and the curriculum was well-structured. I really appreciate how reliable their programs are. That's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect and they always deliver. Great job again.

Anyone know if I need to be completely sober to join the yoga classes or the membership? I'm trying to cut back but not fully there yet.

K Kate Carter 3 weeks ago
No, not at all! They're really welcoming. It's more about the mindful living aspect, not a strict sobriety test. You just need to be open to it.

You don't need to be fully sober. It's a supportive space for anyone exploring that path. They just ask that you come to class sober.

Considering one of their yoga teacher trainings, specifically the 200 hour one. Are these actually Yoga Alliance certified, or is it more like their own thing?

B Brett Patel 1 month ago
Yup, totally certified! I did my 200-hour with them last year and it counted towards my YA registration, no problem.

They're legit, all their teacher trainings are Yoga Alliance certified. That's a big reason why I picked them over some others.

How do their retreats compare to like, Yoga International or Glo? Is it just yoga or do they have other stuff going on?

S Shane G. 1 month ago
Oh, totally different vibe than Glo or Yoga International. Those are more just class libraries. The Mindful Life Practice retreats are actual in-person getaways, usually with a sober focus, workshops, and community building, not just yoga sessions.

It's not really a fair comparison. Yoga International and Glo are like, subscription services for online classes. The Mlpc retreats are full experiences, usually international, with group activities and specific themes. Way more immersive than just doing online yoga at home.

Hey, thinking about signing up for the Sober Girls Yoga. Do they still do a free trial? Don't wanna commit if it's not for me.

T Troy F. 1 month ago
Yeah, pretty sure they do. I started with one last month, 7 days free. You can check it out without paying.

They always offer a free trial for the membership. Just sign up, you'll see the option before you put in your card details, I think.
